Job Information Open to the general public and any current Municipal of Anchorage employee.
This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Municipal Attorney - Criminal Division HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.
m.
to 5:00 p.
m.
LOCATION: 632 West 6th Avenue Example of Duties Primary responsibility will be to obtain documentation of conditions of release on all domestic violence cases, update JustWare with conditions of release for every bail hearing.
Enter and remove APSIN (Alaska Public Safety Information Network) flags relating to defendants' release conditions.
Complete monthly APSIN Flag validation report.
Assist APD (Anchorage Police Department) compliance officers by researching and requesting compliance checks and jail calls on domestic violence cases.
Respond to DOC (Department of Corrections) notice of bail supplying written notice to victims of defendant's release and documenting in JustWare.
Assist DOC PED (Pre-trial Enforcement Division) officers with victim contact information.
Accompany domestic violence victims to court for hearings and trials.
Research and obtain DVPO (Domestic Violence Protective Order) information as directed.
This position may testify in court regarding cases and duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in legal office practices and procedures, legal research, court processing procedures, and automated and manual record keeping systems.
OR Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, or similar discipline and one (1) year of experience in legal office practices and procedures, legal research, court processing procedures, and automated and manual record keeping systems.
Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire.
Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) certification and Tiburon clearance within 30 days of hire.

All required certifications and licenses must remain current for the duration of employment.
