*Position Overview:*
We are currently seeking experienced Concrete Ready Mix Truck Drivers to join our team.
As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites across the region while providing exceptional customer service.
Positions can be seasonal and or year round.
*Responsibilities:*
* Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites in Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Chugiak and Eagle River.
* Ensure that concrete is delivered according to customer specifications, including proper slump and consistency.
* Follow customers instructions and adjust mix on site to customers specifications.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
Report any needed repair immediately.
* Clean exterior and interior of truck daily.
* Perform other tasks as assigned.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load tickets, mileage, and fuel consumption.
* Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
*Requirements:*
* Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a concrete mixer truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
* Knowledge of concrete mixing and delivery techniques, including proper handling and placement of concrete is preferred.
* Ability to operate a manual transmission and navigate safely in various weather and road conditions.
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
* Must be living in the state of Alaska with availably to start working no later than April 1, 2024.
