Job Description
Summary
The intern provides assistance in Business Development and Key Accounts and Sustainability.
They also provide some assistance in Government and Business Affairs.
The internship would include work on renewable energy projects, EV program development, community outreach, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Essential Functions
Assist in developing renewable energy, EV, and beneficial electrification projects.
Assist with data analysis and concept development supporting beneficial electrification.
Perform literature searches for technology, program development and industry best practices at other utilities.
Assist in community outreach activities and events with business development and government affairs.
Relationships
Internal
Manager, Key Accounts & Sustainability, Reports to, receives direction and guidance from
Manager, Business & Sustainability Program Development, receives direction and guidance from
Business Development Analyst, receives some direction and guidance from
External
Occasional interaction with external individuals or entities.
Competencies
Must have a basic understanding of project management.
Must have practical working knowledge of computer software and data management.
Must possess some knowledge of marketing and professional communications.
Must possess the ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
Must possess the ability to work as part of a team with effective organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are desirable.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Most of the work will be performed in a standard office environment but a portion of the work could be in the field in varying weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education
Completion of junior-level course work in an accredited undergraduate degree program, required.
Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program, required.
Experience
Six (6) months’ previous work experience (any field), required.
