Position Summary
The Security Account Executive promotes the Security Division of the Access Control, CCTV, and Facility Security business unit, generating leads and turning those leads into successful sales.
This individual estimates, quotes, negotiates, and sells security jobs and change orders on negotiated, design build, and plan and specifications jobs in a timely, profitable, and responsive manner.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $72,000 base depending on experience, plus commission.

Responsibilities
Develops sales leads and contacts with CCTV and security business, as well as generating leads and/or relationships for LONG's other building technologies; mechanical, electrical, and general contractors, engineers, architects, and building owners and operators to expand LONG's controls
Regularly visits customers and their job sites to promote LONG's products and services
Meets or exceeds annual assigned sales volume and profit objectives through personal sales efforts
Persuades consulting engineers to keep specifications current and applicable with technology, customer, and industry practices.
Successful in getting LONG listed as basis of specifications to minimize competition
Coordinates activities regularly with all SS managers and other sales personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and sales success.
Coordinates sales efforts with Building Intelligence, Energy Solutions, Building Environments, and Mechanical Solutions sales representatives and sales managers.
Assists with trade show and other group sales and team marketing efforts as needed.
Actively participates in professional trade organizations such as ASIS, CAHED, BOMA, IFMA, CASE, etc.
Takes at least two factory or other related building trips with customers per year.
Works to ensure that LONG is fairly compensated for all work including that performed outside contractual obligations.
Assists with account collection issues as requested
Performs accurate takeoffs using estimating tool and prices jobs to maximize profit
Involves LONG management in bid and other business opportunities that present unusual or excessive risk
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
3 years prior commercial security systems sales, IT sales or project management experience
Ability to travel to and inspect job sites, and visit customer locations
Knowledge of access control and CCTV products and related systems and/or IT systems, installation practices, and project estimating
Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
Also demonstrates excellent customer service and computer skills
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including upper management
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability
Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Strong background selling to Hospitals/Medical Facilities and Local State government
