Wonderful cat, owner passed (Anchorage)

Oreo is sad! Her owner just passed away (cancer) and she needs a new best friend.
Oreo is six years old and a very sweet and well behaved lady.
She loves to lounge by the fire or on her favorite persons lap or a nearby blanket, but she also loves laser pointers, cat toys, and playing interactively with her owners.
She’s a lady with her litter box and has no accidents or intentional angry bathroom incidents.
She is friendly with other kitties but sometimes has been the submissive cat with others so would probably do best with a kind cat roommate.
She does NOT climb on counters or bother you in the kitchen.
Your dinner table and cooking areas are safe from this one.
Her weight is maintained just fine with free feeding and drinking and she is not messy.
She was originally rescued from Bethel as a street cat so she sometimes takes a bit to warm up but then is an absolutely devoted companion.
She would love to sleep near someone on their bed but is respectful of peoples wake up times (no yowling for breakfast because she free feeds).
I’ll be honest that she probably won’t enjoy small children but she gives everyone a chance.
The right kid who is gentle and understands kitty nature would absolutely be her cup of tea.
She’s very gentle and prefers to hide if scared rather than to scratch or bite.
She doesn’t dart out the door if someone has company coming over but probably would rather lounge under your bed than meet everyone at a party.
If you want a best friend, however, she is a perfect and well mannered kitty.
She is healthy and up to date on her vaccinations, she is an indoor kitty.
