Hoping to make connections/ Get advice about moving to AK

I am a forty two year old single female who has always dreamed of life in alaska since I took a cruise there twenty years ago.
Kids are grown now and don't require their mom very much.
So I figure this is the best time to make the move.
I am seeking employment and housing prospects, and an acquaintance or two once I arrive wouldn't hurt either.
Not in the market for a relationship or hook up.
