Position Summary:
As a driver for the hotel, your primary responsibility is to transport the hotel’s guests upon arrival, departure and any other driving-related duties and responsibility.
Additionally, you should also assist other departments for their transportation requirements.
The shuttle driver is always also responsible for the upkeep and safety of the vehicle.
Providing excellent service to the guests as per the hotel's standard service procedures.
Shuttle Driver Duties and Responsibilities:
Able to meet all the comfort requirements of the hotel guests and customer.
Able to drive in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsible to assist the guests in any travel or destination questions by applying his/ her knowledge of the local area.
Able to ensure safe and easy travel for the customers/ guests to their destinations or to the hotel.
Keep accurate records of the timings for which the vehicle was used and the purpose to his/ her superior.
Document and report any safety concerns or vehicle service needs.
Able to comply with all the traffic/ road rules and regulation of the state while also following the policies of the hotel authorities.
Responsible to ensure the safety of the guests and security of belongings while travelling.
Maintain good coordination with the hotel's airport representative, when applicable.
Able to maintain a positive conversation with the guests.
Should follow all designated SOPs for any vehicle breakdowns and accidents.
Transport guest luggage to and from designated lobby area or airport shuttle pickup area, assisting guests to load and unload items as needed.
Responsible to park the shuttle at designated parking areas and follow the parking policy.
Keep the vehicle spotless in both exterior and interior appearance.
Always maintain positive customer relations.
Able to provide information on hotels, activities, restaurants, and any places of interest near the hotel.
Keep the assigned car or vehicle clean and ensuring that it is mechanically sound.
The vehicle must be spotless in appearance and ready to always go for a drive without issue.
Always wear a proper uniform with name tag nicely polished (if required).
Always treat all clients and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.
Prerequisites:
Excellent driving skills, with no recent moving violations.
Valid driver's license issued in the state the hotel is located.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
, Ability to sit, walk or stand for periods of time, consistent with providing intermittent shuttle service.
Education:
High school or similar educational qualification.
Experience:
2-3 years prior hotel experience required in a similar role.
Experience driving a hotel shuttle or other form of guest transportation
