SUMMARY: Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload freight safely and timely.
This is an hourly paid position.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive a commercial motor vehicle which requires a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and a Hazardous Materials endorsement.
Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight areas.
Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites.
Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips.
Submit record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements.
COMPENSATION: In addition to competitive wages, we offer: Sign-on Bonus of $3,500.

Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of experience operating “doubles” Class A CDL with the following endorsements: X (Tanker and Hazmat) and Doubles or Triples.
Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Must have a current medical card Must be able to obtain a TWIC card Possess a Longer Combination Vehicle (LCV) Certificate or able to obtain it within 90 days NICE-TO-HAVE: Experience delivering fuel Experience driving in mountainous winter conditions Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook and Word) and be able to use tablets for work instructions (ELD, maintenance, and hours of service tracking).

Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.

WORK SCHEDULE: Point of Hire is Palmer, Alaska.
Employees that reside outside of Palmer are responsible for all costs associated for getting to Palmer.
Employees that do not reside in Alaska are responsible for all costs associated for getting to Palmer.
Work schedule is rotational, consisting of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 70-hours per week.
The work week will commence on the first day of a scheduled work assignment.
Overtime pay will be paid for any hours worked over 8 hours in any one given day or 40 hours in any given week.
It is anticipated that a 10-hour workday is normal working hours daily.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures.
May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment.
Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders.
May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
