Job Summary
On Demand Trucking is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, vehicles & equipment/trailers.
Your expertise in assembling, fabricating, and repairing various components will be crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Duties
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines/trucks
• Performs computer diagnostics
• Performs parts diagnostics, repair, and replacement
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or safety concerns
• Fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs or upgrades
• Perform brake repairs and adjustments
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns
Requirements
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment Drug Test
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years heavy trailer, truck equipment repair & maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle maintenance, and repair techniques
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with electrical systems in diesel vehicles
• Valid drivers license
• Class A CDL with Hazmat desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Products
• Basic knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
