*Qualifications*
One (1) year of clinical experience
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
High school or equivalent (Required)
*Duties:*
* Support providers with patient care within the care-team model by assisting with medical procedures in clinic, imaging, handing bio-hazardous/pharmaceutical waste, instrument prep and/or re-process
* Providing scheduling support, phone triage, Check in/out of patients
* Responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting PHI, Etc.
* Ensure clinic rooms are kept stocked of all necessary supplies for patient clinic visits and perform tasks throughout the clinic to comply with environmental standards.
* Contact patients to prep charts, process travel authorizations in advance of upcoming appointments and/or surgeries
* Other various tasks assigned by the manager.
*Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:*
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
* Friendly, professional, personable and able to help patients feel at ease
* Ability to understand medical charts, diagnoses and coding for billing purposes
* Possess and maintain a calm demeanor when under pressure
* Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of patient care teams
* Strong computer skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and EMRs
* Takes ownership for personal growth and development
* Flexible team player committed to patient care being the top priority
