Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis.
Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.
Many School of Nursing adjunct positions are clinically based assignments in Alaska, primarily in the Anchorage area.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, clinical experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working with private and public external constituencies.
Ability to advocate for the university, School of Nursing mission, vision and core values and student success.
Preferred Experience & Education: Clinical experience required in one of the following areas: Community Health, Psych/Mental Health, OB, Medical Surgical/Critical Care.
Experience in additional clinical specialty is preferred.
Required Experience & Education: Must hold a minimum of baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in State of Alaska.
Masters Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Salary Information: Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
