*Bookkeeper* Growth and opportunity lead us to look for a motivated Bookkeeper to help with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports.

Anchorage based office.
*Functions* · Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing mail, etc.
· Handling communications with project staff, clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
· Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
· Preparation of financial reports.
· Task and associated responsibilities of handling personnel records and related personnel administration functions.
· Bookkeeper will review and assign appropriate Position Range, Salary Level and Department of Labor Class (Exempt/Non‐Exempt).
· Maintain original copies and a listing of all approved job descriptions including position title, class, range, and DOL status.
· Assisting with audits, fact checks, resolving discrepancies, recruiting, hiring, and interviewing process, and 90-day review of new employees.
· Assist Office Manager with New Employee Orientation.
· Maintain training materials related to time keeping.
· Set up and maintain new project cost codes.
*Qualifications* · 1-3 years’ experience in related field / construction accounting experience preferred.
· Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles and Government Contracting experience preferred.
· Experience with 8(a) rules and contracting preferred.
· Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, MS Excel, accurate data entry/ typing skills.
SAGE 100 accounting software experience preferred.
· Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
· Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
· Maintain a high degree of integrity, loyalty, and honesty.
· Professional manner and strong ethics.
· Ability to stay motivated and positive.
· Valid AK driver's license, safe driving record.
· An ability to thoroughly understand and follow directions.
· Aptitude for critical reasoning.
*Duties* · Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Weekly payroll.
· Report generation.
· 401K Census to TPA.
· Workers’ compensation reporting.
· OSHA Log maintenance – checks written, and hours worked.
· Other data entry to support projects and schedules.
· General office assistance.
*Organizational Responsibilities* · Supports others.
· Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
· Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
· Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.

) • Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components.
• Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 12 hours.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds such as small electrical components, equipment and other office materials.
